The starting date in the file alife.ltx change in a matter of seconds. Often out patches, so have not included this file in the archive, you never know what the authors would change there.

Yes, for all levels. As well as the sound of footsteps on snow and the sound of a blizzard included.
Really good mod!! I love winter, and this gives the game an even more harsh survival feel to the world, and is much more pleasing to the eyes than the vanilla textures. Would be perfect if their was actual snowfall, but that may be beyond what can be done. 9/10
Actually this is better. I remember having 10fps when using CoP Winter of Death mods, and it's all because of those snowfall particles.

I think it's normal look at the screenshot of the autor those textures are even there.
Well now when i've looked into the author image it seems the same pinkish colouring appears. Anyone know why is that? Maybe some diffuse/bump maps were done improperly?

This is actually pretty great! This creates a whole new atmosphere.
Only the pink texture bug could be fixed :) Would be really nice if someone knew why this happens. Maybe you can ask the creators of AbsoulteNature what causes this problem, they're experienced and should know about it.
About the sky?No bug because my save was during an emission:

No, the snow is sometimes slightly pink, it's not that bad, but it would be even better of course if everything would be completely white.
Anyway I really appreciate the work and love it. It's always nice to discover a well known environment again.
Yeah, your screenshots you posted above don't have the pink texture bug. Strange.
Alright, sorry for spamming and false accusations:
Just tried out the autumn addon to be sure and it has this bug too - maybe wrong bumpmaps or some conflict with another texture pack (I'm using the absolute addons and the OL pack). So it is no bug in this mod, I'm sorry.
Reinstalled, still the same.
You can see what I mean in the preview screenshot of this mod though. Looks just strange.
I like it. Not to bad of a performance hit. Traveling around Garbage and Rostok was smooth, aesthetically and technically.

Why the game is so unpopulated if i install this? :( I didn't find any trader, faction chief, or a goddamn medic. But, first things first, here is how i use this mod:
- STCOP V3
- OUTFIT ADDON 1.3.3
- Blue Corpses
- Loot money from corpses
- Infinite Companions
- Artifacts after emissions
This mod has NOTHING to do with your problem. It's literally just textures. That has ZERO bearing on spawns whatsoever.
This will be good for Christmas.
Wow, makes the game feel way different. I will say the textures are of lesser quality. It also brings out the "ugly" from the game. By that I mean you will notice very bad low res textures in the game. 1 place I noticed this is in Rostok.
Yo, is it possible to make shorter daytime and longer nights? Like, actuall winter?
And yeah, can you cut out sound of crickets?

I was starting a new .14 game anyway and it worked for me; back-up and try, its a brilliant mod.

In my game sometimes the snows blindingly bright; I changed the 1. to 0.7 in user.ltx

So far no problems but back-up and try at your own risk.

This mod is completely ruined by the fact that there are lots (and I really mean lots) of blue/purple/miscolored textures. Snow is supposed to be white not purple people. I understand it's a bug, but it ruins immerssion beyond comprehension.
Take it as an anomaly in the Zone, then you can live with it :)

always thought stalker wold be sweet in the winter. it is Russia. also pink snow occurs in nature. Im pretty sure its cause by bacteria
