Why did you have to make it brighter? And does it work at higher resolutions? Like 1680 x 1050? Or 1920 x 1080?
Works with any resolution. In the file you can select the brigh.
So, what kind of Anti-Aliasing did you use?
I use 8xSQ, is very good for this game.

someone pleas help, i have gotten an issue after i installed, im pretty sure i followed all the instructions carefully but my game crashes, even after i deleted my steam folder and reinstalled, it still crashes when i join certain servers, some are fine but most just crash my game.
That's weird. Disable Steam Cloud and then remove your folder. Thats how to full remove the patch, at less that you have instaled the nvidia config. Can you tell me more about this crash? My mail: fran.man.22@live.com.ar

Just go to your game settings and change it. Then, reset the game.
One time i was on the custom map. Everything was so bright that i couldn't see a damn thing.
It happens with some custom maps. These maps are done with the wrong SDK. They use the Half-Life 2 bright commands, that show a brightness 10 times higher at the same setting.
