Can you please post a video of this mod in action? I can not play Doom at the moment. It seems interesting.

Quick hint if you want to reset the settings in this mod to defaults:

1. Open gzdoom-username.ini
2. Ctrl+f sm_
3. Delete all lines that start with sm_
Save & Exit.

Next time you load gzdoom, the mod will reinstate the values to their defaults.

The latest version. Right now, that means GZDoom 3.1.0 or higher.

Also be sure to Bind a key in the "Customize Controls". Additionally, the default setting the mod comes with has the hud element become hidden when slomo is fully charged.

Amazing mod, it really helps balance the difficulty of slaughter maps and makes the firefights in Project Doom visually stunning. I have a question; one of the mods I'm playing with also has a function bound to user4. How could I change that? Thanks again for the mod!

That's a bit tricky. You'll need to recompile a new ACS file from the source file.

1.Open the pk3 file with a zip program. I use IzArc.
2.In the source folder, you'll find SlomoBulletTimeThing.txt
3.Inside that txt (open with notepad or similar), there will be four instances of BT_USER4 which you'll need to replace. (lines 94 to 136)
4. Refer to Zdoom.org for the list of possible buttons you can replace it with.
5. Save the file.
6. Get GDCC: Forum.zdoom.org
You'll need it to compile the txt file into a .o file.
Install/unzip gdcc, then drag the txt file onto the gdcc-acc.exe. This will automatically create an .o file of the same filename as the txt, in the location that the .txt originally was.
7. You should now have a SlomoBulletTimeThing.o file. Hopefully.
8. Make a folder called ACS. You'll need to drop the .o file into there.
9. Once you have the .o file in the ACS folder, drag that folder into the SlomoBulletTime_Ultimate.pk3 which you've opened with IzArc or similar.
10. It will ask to confirm an overwrite of files, say yes.

Done.

Also, if you play doom primarily to mow down demons, then check out OBLIGE for infinite procedurally generated campaigns for Doom 2:

Great. For others that have this problem, download this version of brutal doom instead:

Moddb.com

It has bug fixes, performance updates and the blood error is gone as well.

When you jump with this mod you can keep jumping in the air, i climbed buildings in Hellbound.

Maybe it shouldn't let you float in the air above the jump height?

Awesome mod. Do you think you will ever make it Work with Zandronum 3.0? for some reason I cant capture footage with Fraps in Gzdoom 310 but I can with zandronum but this doesnt work with it yet. Will try gzdoom 240 thx!

Are you trying to record GZDoom in fullscreen mode? I found that if try to record footage in fullscreen, then all I get is a black screen. I was able fix the issue by setting GZDoom to windowed mode. (Note: I'm using Loilo Game Recorder, not Fraps.)

As for Zandronum, I do not think so. The mod uses ZScript and perhaps some other features that are unique to GZDoom.

Seems to conflict with the Weapon wheel mod which is a shame as I would love to use this mod.

I'm here too. I'm struggling with it. Using both and deactivating slo mo with its own key after it was activated by using weapon wheel mod key.

There has to be a solution. It happens the same with UAC Survival Pack's J Grenades, and there's an special PK file which solves the conflict. It has to be the same solution, which I don't know.

I'm still DL'ing this, but...
This is only for Doom 2? ...not Doom 2 Master Levels, or Plutonia, or TNT?
Will this also work for Project Brutality?

It works. I use this along with Project Brutality, Ultimate Doom Visor, Wheapon Wheel and UAC Survival Pack. Maybe some more.
But it has a problem with Weapon Wheel, and UAC Survival Pack.
Look at the previous post.

Yeah, using ultimate doom visor too, only problem is that the slo-mo counter and some text is overlapping on the visor mod (ammo text), otherwise it doesn't fudge with it in any other way. No biggie, still kicking *** and taking names.

LOVE THIS MOD!!!
Tried slo-mo, freeze effects, and something in between, all are awesome to use! A really slo-mo effect so it's almost complete freeze is cool to use because you can walk around (still) exploding enemies but anything past regular slo-mo is a bit OP for me, if you give yourself enough time to enjoy the view then it's cool looking but then it's a bit OP (IMO, if your looking for a challenge) but if you give yourself only a little bit of time then you can't enjoy the beauty of your destruction so it's a bit wasted. Either way, damn good fun!
Only thing is I can't seem to get any changes going unless I start the WHOLE game over again. Example, I was around level 20 on Doom 2 and after mod install had to start from level 1 again. I don't mind starting the MAP over again but if I want to make a small change I have to start from the beginning. Is there a way to just start the currant level over?

Yes there is a way to start a map with new settings, provided you have the default autosaves on in gzdoom.

Slomo changes take effect when a new map loads, so if you want to keep progress of the current campaign but change the settings, then you can either:

a) change slomo settings, then finish the current level. The next level with have the new slomo settings applied.

b) change slomo setting, then load a previous autosave from the level before the one you're wanting to play, complete that level with IDCLIP and IDDQD (noclip and godmode), then when you enter the next level, the new slomo settings have been applied.

One piece of feedback to offer...
The cooldown option. As it is the cooldown timer starts to run after the very first tick when you initiate slow-mo, it would be nice if the cooldown effect took place AFTER the last tick that slow-mo was used.
I have a cooldown period of 100 ticks out of 1000 ticks total and sometimes the cooldown is over before I even turn slow-mo off. Having it start as soon as you disactivate slow-mo makes you think about when to use it and when to turn it off.
Just a suggestion.

Hmm, it seems simple enough to add that option, I'll consider it. I didn't expect anyone to set up the slomo settings that way, but it is a valid suggestion. I do see the value in it.

NEW: Version 3.1b is out:
Mediafire.com

See the details on the zdoom forums page:
Forum.zdoom.org

It is now possible to play Hideous Destructor and Slomo without keybind conflicts. Just use the "Toggle Slomo 2", while leaving the "Toggle Slomo" blank with backspace in the Customize Controls options menu.
