"PhotoRealistic Zone" is a Reshade/MasterEffect mod which improves the dated graphics of the Stalker series to the 2015 standards. >>Compatible with every renderer of every Stalkers games & mods<< Read full description by clicking
The virus warning some people have is a false positive so don't worry about it, this release is clean.
THE MAIN FEATURES OF PHOTOREALISTIC ZONE ARE :
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- "PhotoRealisticZone" gives you the choice between two ready-made presets specifically made according of the type of renderer used, and so, available for every renderer :
However, even if I took hours to tweak as good Dx8/Dx9 presets as I can, so more people can enjoy PRZ (and knowing that I would probably never use those presets), they are still very far from being as good as the Dx10/Dx11 presets are. (sadly)
FOR THE TRUE PHOTOREALISTIC ZONE EXPERIENCE AND VISUALS, YOU NEED TO USE DX10 or DX11.
( * ) Compatibility tested on:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>> You can see more pictures in HD using this mod here : Przone.tumblr.com <<
>> And comparison screenshots here and here and here <<
The screenshots in the preview were done using the v1.1 of PRZ with dx11 renderer, all options activated and maxed out + the default user.ltx from Atmosfear.
Have fun !
And many thanks to the dev of Call of Chernobyl for offering us the best Stalker mod of the world in the universe.

I really like this and the only issue I got is often the sky is extremely bright, blinding almost.
Thank you ClaneLord.
It's hard to keep a good light balance for every type of weathers and skybox.
Try lowering the "#define Exposure" between "200" and "0" in the "//TONEMAP" section of the "MasterEffect.h" file, it may suits you best.
That is an issue with CoCh itself, not any mod.
Bit late here but it's most likely CoC's default Atmosfear preset.
Try going into Atmosfear options and return the brightness settings to default. It makes the game look much better regardless I found.
Also, changing the "r2_tonemap_adaptation" to something like 5 or 10 can help. It speed up the time that the eyes adapt from the dark to light. (and vice versa)
So far so good in DX11. I like it. I had to turn off the HUD masking due to alignment issues, and dynamic DOF because it was just too much. Aside from that, I don't think I could ask for a better visual improvement thus far.
Thank you Ducimus. I'm working on the v1.2 right now, tweaking some stuffs here and there. I'll think about reducing a bit the DOF for the dx11 too.
Amazing mod O_o Thank you very much for this !
10/10
Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
That looks beautiful, but i can't make it works, i've followed the installation instruction but the game wont launch with a fatal error, expression : error handler is invoked!, etc
I'm on window 10, i've already used reshade with call of prypiat before but i was on 8.1 so maybe it's related to the new os.
I have also updated the directx redist.
Don't worry I made it work and it looks amazing ! i've searched the forum for other similar issue, and a guy with Arma 3 found the solution. It was to simply rename the dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll
Cool, I thought about this but I wasn't sure at all.
I'll note this in the description.
Thank you and have fun in the zone.
Thank you for this nice mod ^^

Great job! Looks good
Never mind, found it!
This add-on is simply amazing!!!!!!!
It's nice to read, thank you.
Awesome mod !!!
Thx !
BTW, have you ever made this for Lost Alpha?
There's no need for that, IT WORKS for Lost Alpha, like it works for every other Stalkers's mods or games. It's in the description.
I tried, it looks good.
I just tried it on LA but it doesnt load. It crashes. What preset renderer do you use? I play LA on DX10.
I hope we dont get too off course here on a CoC addon
I tried all the presets for all the renderer with L.A. It worked perfectly fine. Just put everything in the bin folder of the game, where XR_3DA is.
I tried again to be sure, but again : it works.
Here's a split screen with the full preset on dx10.1 maxed out:

Ok, I sent you a private message.
Ok guys, v1.4 is up and it's the last public release I'll do !
(for real, I swear :D)
I just wanted you to have the same PRZ settings I use for the past few days.
Now, you are fully free to enhance and release a better version of PRZ, or just use the dlls/masterEffect files for your own mods.
(Just credit me if you use some of my settings, it would be nice.)
There is also a new and updated FAQ-TROUBLESHOOTING.txt file, be sure to read it before asking me for something.
Thanks for this, the color correction alone is a win on every mod I've tried so far. I like that it works fine with existing complex shaders like in OGSE 0692 and AA2 without any problems - I just disable DoF and other effects as necessary. Also works fine with RadeonPro injecting its own SMAA shaders, letting me disable it here.
Your license is great, good to see that explicit sharing!
Thanks!
You are welcome.
I have tried every single fax listed in the FAQ and keep having a crash to desktop upon trying to run with this mod installed. I am running Windows 10, directx 12 (but am running the game at directx11). Any help is appreciated

Having an issue where once the render loads the graded are degraded and the mask is black. Or I get a black screen with no crash. I folower install to the letter, and am running the game in dx9 with the proper master shade in place. Does any one know what could be causing this. I had the reshade installed on stalker before and it worked.
Sorry for double post
Is there a way to disable the chromatic aberration in this?
Hi guys, sorry for the late response, I'm modding Fallout 4 this last month.
BruceHolt> Yes, the procedure is written in the read me included with the preset, as well as how to enable/disable other fxs.
Narrator> Try installing DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) if you haven't done it yet, it is linked in the home of ReShade website as a requirement : Microsoft.com
Windows 10 can be very problematic with dx wrappers, and I know that some people have encountered problems with a particular windows update, and solved it by uninstalling it. Just google, you'll find it quickly.
Usually, changing dxgi.dll for d3d11.dll works.
If you are using the Steam link system, know that since a few updates it doesn't work anymore with ReShade wrappers.
Darkside> I don't understand your issue. My preset worked before and now you have "graded degraded" ? Uninstalling and fresh reinstalling the whole preset doesn't work ?
By the way, I've learned a couple of things lately while making a preset for FO4, I'll probably update PRZ later.
Looking forward to that =)
Thanks for all your effort.
BTW, how is FO4 compared to Stalker? Gameplay wise I mean?
There isn't any real comparison possible. Fo4 is good, I like it a lot and I like modding it a lot more, but it isn't the same gameplay, because it's clearly not the same public aimed in the first place.
If I had to compare Stalker with Fallout 4, I would say that Fallout 4 is some sort of Stalker for kids.
Stalker is way more harsh to play, not mentioning the background.
The only thing that both games have in common is the bugs and a quite alive modding community. :]
Here is what I'm working on : Nexusmods.com?
Beautiful preset! i absolutly love it, unfortunately all must have a but, and my but is that i play misery 2.1.1. The game runs smoothly and looks gorgeous but the HUD is messed up because of obvious reasons, there is no way i'm unninstalling this preset though. So i'm here to ask if there anyway to fix the HUD issue, like disabling the changes that this preset does to the HUD or maybe a Misery version -that would be incredible, no changes in the preset, just a compatibility patch you know-...
and i'm think the DoF is getting very intrusive, specially in the inventory and chatbox, is there a way to disable it?
Thanks, appreciate.
If you give me a screenshot from Misery ( do it while looking at a bright sky, without your weapon) I'll do a mask for you.
About everything else, all the answers are in the readme included in the archive.
I'll see later this month if I can make an Enb or a reshade framework instead of Mastereffect so users can toggle off the blur ingame. (or if I can make it work with Enb, there shouldn't be HUD blur anymore)
Where should I put those files , to bin folder or to _bin folder ?
_Bin folder. You shouldn't have another bin folder with COC. (Unless you installed COC in the same folder as COP, which isn't recommended.)
I want this mod to work SOOO MUCH! but:

OK the d3d11.dll trick worked... how to turn off that dynamic dof =D
Actually playing with Light preset (and with smaa kicked in master effects) and it's really satisfying. Only the same 'too bright' problem but we all know how it's hard to calibrate. Good job mate ;)
for some reason i do get alot of fps loss on DX9 (objects dynamic lightning). Anyone know how to fix it?

[s]Hi, my download keeps failing with "Virus detected". I'm running windows 10, and it's windows defender blocking it. I'll work around, as you seem so legit. But so you know it's happening.[/s]
Edit. Downloaded from a mirror with no issue
Same was happening to me as well with multiple downloads on Moddb, seems like a Win10/Defender issue.
