It saying its a RAR D: do you have exe D:
just download " Winrar "
the exe is inside the rar.
The problem is it wont let me open it xD
you need winrar to be able to open it, you can find a free trial of it if you search for it on google
or 7zip right? 7zip is free, and will allow to open much more than .rar archives.

I used 7zip It had a trojan in it so Be careful with that program (I recommend WinRAR)
Lol, then you got it from a different website than the official one. I've used 7zip for a few years... no trojan yet -.- And riffwrath was right, it does open more than winrar, and plus, it doesn't even give you annoying emails every week or whatever.
7-zip is the most official archiver...so...you will not find viruses in lol even the site or your pc is full of viruses...anyway just play nightmare house 2...

how do i play the game? i need help
Please explain to me how to start this mod! I know it's a map pack for one of the Half Life games, but I can't find it! I have it installed here:
Steam\steamapps\common\half-life 2\hl2\maps
For people who are having problems, it installs to the wrong folder, go to steamapps/common/half-life 2/hl2 and copy the folder maps, then paste it into steamapps/(Username)/half-life 2/hl2.
Afterwards, open half-life 2 and open the console and type changelevel nightmare_house1.
The shortcut that is created is also broken, it can be fixed but its faster just to launch half-life 2 and load the map ingame.
Isn't putting it in "steamapps/(Username)/half-life 2/hl2/maps" the correct way?
After you install the game how do you play it? the only .exe file is the installer
To play this game:
1) for those who installed HL2 in a different directory. Install it in the "Maps" folder of your Half Life 2 (Simply, right-click on your HL2 icon and
"open file location". and install the exe in hl2/maps.
2) Once finished, open HL2 and open the console "~" and type in "changelevel nightmare_house1" (without quotes)
3) play the game.

OK, just did this one too, played NH2 last night and part of this morning. Nice little minigame, but NH2 is just spectacular.

I really liked this. I managed to play it in Gmod and I'm not sure if the conversion was perfect but I got freaked out. It seemed like hell, for a momment I had no hope, and then I got hope just for it to be taken away at the end. Did a Lets Play: Youtube.com

18 years later, This mod is pretty good spooky scary Halloween but zombie was telefrag right next to me and stuck.. hilarious lol
