This is a package of Legionwood: Tale of the Two Swords' original audio with the volume turned down. Yup, that's it. The volume of every single audio file has been decreased for comfort. No longer is the game ridiculously loud in some parts. No longer will players have to remember turning their computer's volume down before launching the game. Most of all, the music can finally be enjoyed.
Installation:
Go into the 'Legionwood - Tale of the Two Swords\Audio' directory.
Delete all four folders.
Extract the 7zip file into Legionwood's 'Audio' directory.
Enjoy the game.
Curious?
I used MidiDesign MIDI Normalizer to normalize the midi files in the BGM and ME folders with [specific] maximum track volumes and note velocities. I also used Audacity to lower the gain of the wav and ogg files by 8 (-8dB).
Some files were lowered a bit more than others.
Special Case(s):
Since 'jbmsc010' wouldn't open in MidiEditor or MidiDesign, and I'm stubborn, I decided use SoundLeech to capture the audio. Then I opened the new sound file in Audacity, lowered its gain by 8 (-8dB) like all the rest, added a 0.5 second gap of silence to the beginning (to match up with the original), and saved it as an ogg file (for consistency).
