This looks REALLY nice! But to be honest, as nice as this is... They really need to put this sort of custom shader support in the engine itself. ReShade cannot be used under Linux or OSX (as far as I know.).

Congrats on an excellent ReShade preset, nonetheless.

ReShade cannot be used yet, but SweetFX 1.5.1 works (unfortunately, still unstable) on Linux using Wine...

That aside, I doubt I could, say, run SweetFX in Wine and inject shaders into a native app. Furthermore, shader injectors are a hacky and often unstable way to add extra flair to a game... With games, especially those with an open codebase, it is far better in the long run to add support for custom shaders to the actual game code itself.

Have a look here for a proposal I made to the engine maintainer:

Well, it is working, documented example below:

Of course it doesn't mean it works flawless. It is buggy as hell. But it is possibile...

I'm not running RBDoom3BFG through Wine... I'm running it and this mod native. Running SweetFX in Wine will not inject shaders into a native game. That is my point. :P

Relax, man... You didn't specify that particular game when you said in comment: "ReShade cannot be used under Linux or OSX"... Misunderstanding is not a reason to be angry. OK?

XD It's cool. I'm not mad at you. Never was, actually. But being in the context of an addon for a mod for Doom 3: BFG Edition, I assumed it would be obvious. I didn't mean to come off as angry or harsh. Just being straight-forward is all.

To get back on topic, here's a fun tidbit:
Apparently, Robert Beckebans, the engine maintainer, has figured out and implemented a game-native system for loading shaders similar, if not identical, to the ones pictured here on this page.

So it looks like people may soon be able to upload their own shaderpacks. :D

Pax Vobis... My bad, somehow i've missed contextual clue. You got me :)
Anyway, i knew that Robert will sooner or later find the way how to make external shaders working. Helleluyah!

Amen... Good to see BFG get that much closer to feature parity and modability with it's older counterpart.

It looks like Soft shadows have to be disabled from Doom 3 BFG Hi Def version 2.7c, but this makes the game look so much better, Thanks!

Actual HDR/Bloom effects are being added to the game's code right now, and that version works with the soft shadows. Stay tuned! :D

Wait what? This is true? HDR and Bloom to the source port engine itself?

Strange thing is happening: after applying latest path when i do enable Immersive ReShade blood textures behaviour is getting really weird: it's like they goes always on the top of all models. When i turn off ReShade it stops...
I made few screenshots, they will explain problem itself better than i can hehe:

Any idea what would be the reason of this?

Unfortunately I have the exact same problem.
The blood textures are nearly on top of everything.

Does this complement the Immersive HD mod or will it conflict?
