Fixed and uploaded a found hud overlay mod. Update: I've started playing with 1.4.22 again, found the mod to be crashing, thanks to the updated bind_stalker script. I took the new 1.4.22 bind_stalker script and inserted the mods call into that. In case I stop playing and the mod crashes after another update, here is what you gotta do: unpack the vanilla bind_stalker from scripts.db open it go look for the function actor_binder:update(delta) (or something similar) insert this line around the end of that function: actor_effects.update() This is what calls the breathing effect scripts. If you need an armor added, go open the actor_effects_data script, and insert your armors name and what type of overlay you wanna see examples: outfits = { -- texture to use when wearing the exo outfit exo_outfit = "helm_exo", merc_exo_outfit = "helm_exo", dolg_exo_outfit = "helm_exo", svoboda_exo_outfit = "helm_exo", -- texture to use when wearing the scientific outfit s

Compat with ao3?
I think it's not fully compatible with A0, and by extension, I expect vanilla but can't confirm. When wearing the NBC suit there is no overlay for me at least, and the suit is now also available in unmodded CoC, again tho, not tested, I just installed it over the top of CoC hud mod and it's working otherwise fine.
This is exactly what I've been waiting for man, loved the immersion in Misery with these sounds. Very good job! I happily sacrificed my NBC nightvision suit for a crappy gas mask for this haha!
I fixed the NBC and Rad Suit after I released the mod, if you want I can upload the new version. It is just +2 lines in the actor_effects.script file for them.
I'd appreciate it if you could upload the new version.
The NBC Suit is probably my favorite early-mid game suit so i'd appreciate it.
Is it possible to make version without that delay between animations?
You mean the delay when equipping the helmet? Well, I could shorten it, but without the delay the game crashes on load. I didn' think it was too long, after all, you are equipping a gas mask, this does take some time IRL.
If you mean the hit effects, I could look into it, perhaps increase the frequency of the function called.

So does this work with AO3? I tried it but got crashes right after the level loads. Before it asks you to press any key.
Same happened with Dynamic HUD, which is supposedly compatible with AO3.
Can anyone please help? Playing without HUD overlays is sad.
Yes it works just fine, tested both addons + AO3 and no crahes at all.
Maybe you could try a fresh install of the mod, updated to patch 1.3.20, and then install the addon.
Could you add in the future the "breath effect textures" that were added in this Dynamic Hud mod for Clear Sky ? It adds a lot to immersion, if you find it interesting enough.

Added an update, it works with 1.4 now. At least it haven't crashed on my part now. Also wrote down how I avoided the crash and how one can add new armor support.
