This mod changes the default homeworld 2 battlecruiser so that it has more anti frigate and anti fighter capability and effect. It also has 6 more weapons : three turrets, two anti fighter beams, one forward beam cannon. ( A little overpowered but not by much. )(more so fixed in V1.2)

If you use the battlecruisermod.big file put it in your homeworld 2 data folder and modify the properties of the
homeworld 2 shortcut on your desktop screen so that -mod BattlecruiserMod.big is after "C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe"
Example ( "C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe" -mod battlecruisermod.big )

Note: Wanted to keep 6th turret had a nice spot on back of ship facing backwards but I didn't like it shooting through other
ion turret and my attempts to create a 2nd ion turret file to work with more limited angles to prevent weren't going well.
will it work in the campain in the normal HW2?
It should it only edits the battlecruiser files.
I replayed mission 15-16 for fun and it worked by the ways so "Yes" it will work unless their is another problem.
where do i put the addon... please... can any one help me with this... i downloaded many vehicle addon... but i don't know where 2 put the addon.. can someone help me with this...... PLEASE....
WHAT IS OverrideBigFile???? WHERE CAN I FIND IT..
on your desktop shortcut, go to properties, then in the target box, add on the end of it '-overrideBigFile' without the '
example
C:\Sierra\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe -overrideBigFile
i followed the instructions letter by letter, but when im trying to start a session it crushes on loading! when i remove -overridebigfile, the game works properly.
I will look into it if I can what Homeworld 2 patch are you running on?
Mine is crashing too, I'm running Homeworld 2 v1.1 on Windows 7.
Mine is not crashing, the mod just doesn't work.
i have put the files were their suppose to be and mad another shortcut of homeworld 2 and added the -overridebigfile to the end of the target line. But every time i tried to load up the mod it brings up the eve mod. which i also have installed. Do i have to remove the eve mod to play this mod?
I have tried to run with this mod and it will crash when i pick a level it gets to the universe load and then goes to windows. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Well, some comments:
- I compiled a *.BIG file with the following folders: Scripts, Ship and Weapon ;
- I included and edited a Starting Fleets file to start with a BC directly;
- I discovered that the problem is inside the SHIP folder ;
- The HOD file gives this msg: "CFHodEd.exe Error: 0 : Input IFF file has an invalid chunk! ("INFO"), nut I ain't sure this is a problem
- The Synthax for the inside of the ship file was different of the same file of the CLEAN DATA resource project, so I've changed;
- I've found this inside the EVENT file in all lines, but I don't know if this is a problem:

I found the problem and solved it.
It was in .ship file. There is a line that must be deleted:
"frontal_ionfrigate_vs_CapShip",
And i checked vs the original and there is a line that has been removed wich i inserted again :
"MoveToTargetAndShoot",
So it should look like this :
addAbility(NewShipType, "CanAttack", 1, 1, 0, 0, 0.35, 1.2, "Capturer, Frigate, SmallCapitalShip, BigCapitalShip, Mothership, Utility, Corvette, Fighter", "MoveToTargetAndShoot",
Due to the limited space here i must say this is one line and after each "," there must be a space.

I don't know how you found that but I have updated the add-on from just files to .big and it worked on my computer and my brothers just fine. Also that line was added by me in an attempt to keep the battlecruiser from deciding to spin around which is not friendly to the ion cannons. ( So if their is still a problem please send me any info would appreciate ty^^ )
