The focus of this mod for Hexen: Beyond Heretic and Hexen: Deathknights of the Dark Citadel is to update the graphical fidelity of the player weapons.
Version 1.1 Update: Hotfix for Zandronum compatibility to fix a known crash issue.
Version 1.0 Released: Current version of WIP addresses the first set (default) weapons for each class.

- Mage Wand
Notable improvements and aims to fix:
- Remake all weapon animations with latest wide screen formats in mind.
- Rework spites and animate new cells as necessary for proper quality.
- Draw and design new sprites as necessary to ensure high fidelity.
- Reprogram and update code as necessary to ensure proper function.
- Fully test all weapons and ensure functionality is as similar to the original game as possible.

I second that request :) This is brilliant add-on for Hexen and makes the base weapons much more interesting (and less tedious). Very interested to see what other ideas will be applied.......
Sadly does not work on the newer GZDoom 2.3.0 or 2.3.2 (using x64 version). Game will run but you only get the standard Hexen attack animations. Still works with GZDoom 2.1.1 though.
Considering this project has stalled, probably indefinitely, I'd recommend instead using the fix here: Forum.zdoom.org

But I noticed a flaw in the mage’s class, in the third slot of the weapon, there you didn’t touch anything.
I would like you to fix this error)
