Hello there ! I just stepped on this mod yesterday by pure chance, I was looking to something to improve FEAR visuals in a subtile way. I already found the Dynamic Light for flashlight mod (which is awesome), the text scaler mod for 1920*1080 resolution (wich is awesome too).

So I tested this and... unfortunately it seems that only some of the shaders works, I did the thing correctly, copied sikk.Arch00 file in FEAR directory and the add the "sikk.Arch00" line at the end of Default.archcfg file and put it read only.

As far as I have tested it, soft shadows shader is broken (just like when you put some FSAA but I dont have FSAA enabled) I looks like there is some kind of softness when you get close to the shadow, but it's definitely worse looking than the original soft shadows shader (without FSAA of course).

Chromatic dispersion works (and its really good looking), and shading on people is indeed better, but reflections are exactly the same, no improvements in resolution or blur or something. Parallax mapping is the same too, it takes the lightning information and have self shadowing, but it's still really flat looking when you are not looking in front of it (maybe the mod doesnt change that ?).

So, exept concerning chromatic dispertion and self shadowing stuff and things like that, I really dont see any difference, actually it makes the game less enjoyable because of the hard edges shadows and the framerate drop (it has it's impact).

Just cheking if everything is normal, no offense, maybe there is some adjustments to make that's why I came here to post.

My graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 and I have the very lattest WHQL drivers.

Yea thats what I though, I have taken 2 screenshots with and without to compare, I really prefer the original version I'm sorry, the lighting feels too bright with the mod and the shadows... the chromatic dispertion is cool though and the better shading on people and surfaces, I would have kept only that actually, and the most important thing that has to be changed but that noone had done : soft particles for smoke !!
