Hello, these Bots were intensively made by (C) Dog 2010 at Allied Modders LLC. They Serve as the -=Only=- Working Playable Bots for Day of Defeat Source, this is the Real Thing. No Fake Bots. 100% Working Bots for LAN Server Play. I Must warn you that, The Installation is VERY Complicated and is not Suitable for a Novice User, Please See the Readme Included Below.
Addon DODS-BOTS 1.4.4 , Has Been Updated with a New Dodhooks.txt file, to cooperate with the new DOD:S Patch, Released in June 2012. Previous older Dodhooks.txt would cause the server to crash and the bots not to initialize. Get the New Updated Version, Which I Just uploaded Here.

The Installation of Dog's DODS Bots 1.4.4, Comes in 6 Steps as Included with the Zip Downloadable File.

Step 1.)
====================================================
1) Install HLDSUpdate Tool Then Run It.
We Now Have an Account with HLDSUPDATE TOOL.
2) Downloading the files
Create Shortcut of HLDSUpdate Tool on Dekstop, Add the Following Commands:
Now we have an account, we can start downloading the files. This can take a few hours depending on the connection the server uses.
Command(s):
hldsupdatetool -command update -game "dods" -dir C:\srcds
Get yourself Some Coffee, This is Gonna Take some Time!
3)Place Server.cfg (You May Edit it If you Want) it is Predefined, Place in your:
C:\srcds\orangebox\dod\cfg\
Folder.
4)Run srcds.exe With the Paremeters: (Predefined Shortcut Included)
-console -game dod +map dod_anzio -maxplayers 32 -autoupdate
This will Start and Initiate your DoDS Server.
(Keep the scrds.bat file in those Places As Included with the Step 1 Files. Use This To
restart The DODS Server if it crashes!)

1. Install HL2 Metamod
Place Folder in your Srcds Main Folder
(c:\srcds)
Addons folder goes in dod subfolder.

1. Install Sourcemod
place in your C:\srdcs Folder.

1. Install Game Script Hooks SDK.
Place in your C:\srcds Main Folder.

Install DoDHooks (Old Version, see step 6 for next step)
Place in c:\srcds main folder.

Install DOD:S Bots 1.4.4
Place all Files in your
C:\srcds Main Folder.
These files register the bots with Sourcemod (SM) and enable them to auto start on
Local created Server.
***To adjust Bot Skill, Open Botprofile.db with NOTEPAD, and change the Values
from 1-5, 1 being easiest, 5 being hardest.

When you first Launch your Day of Defeat Source Server, as Given through HLDS Update Tool, it Will be in CMD Console Format, allowing you to type in your Server Commands this Way,
SM command is source mod general command console, Used for Managing the DOD:S Bots Source Mod.
Once your Server is Up and Running through srcds.exe // Day of Defeat Source, and all the bots have connected, you must Start your Default Day of Defeat Launch, Located through Steam.
and Click the LAN Tab of Multiplayer Options, Allowing you to Join your Hosted Server , which is full of bots and allows for full bot play!
***Please go to your Server.cfg File Located in your C:\srcds\orangebox\dod\cfg Folder to Change Server Options. Bot Values are Already Predefined.

DOD:S Bots Upload has Been Re-uploaded, and Updated.
The old version of Dodhooks.txt was Incompatible with the new June 2012 Day of Defeat Source Steam Patch.
Download this Updated Version, Which is Compatible With Day of Defeat Source as of July 19th, 2012.
The New Patch Corrupted the Dodhooks.txt that hooks the bots to play in the LAN server
This New Uploaded version on this page will Fix that.

DOD:S Bots Hooks has been Updated Again, After July 20th To Support the Latest DOD:S Update. Good as of 7/22/2012 1:30AM
well after the new update, from 7/21/2012, even with the updated dodhooks.txt files, I still can not get the bots to join the server and work properly, I have emailed the bot author and am waiting for a reply from him, so in the meantime, good luck! but for the meantime do not let DOD:S update to the altest 7/21/2012 patch. Ill be writing back when I get an answer.
Downloaded and tried to follow the instructions. But no good. I'm just going to wait till this is ALOT easier.
Could You make this easier to install please? I'm at a loss following the instructions and then my Day of Defeat Source isn't even in C:\srcds , it's in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\camcidgos\day of defeat source\dod. I really need help installing this.

FOR DEVELOPERS OF BOTS SYSTEM: I play Dod classic with bots (old system "Sturmbot") since beta 3.1 version (around the years 2001/2002). However, with the death of the developer "Johan 'Jowo' Linde", the project "Sturmbot" was interrupted (in version 1.7). I understand that may no longer be possible to reactivate it in Dod:S, but my opinion is that a system of bots to Dod: S should follow roughly the same path trodden by "Jowo". One of the greatest qualities of Sturmbot is the ability of the AI to interact as a squad-team, in which the soldier was emit voice and gestures commands, one to each other (the Sturmbot wore the animations and voices, existing as standard in the game). Consequently, the soldiers could be decide to obey or not to obey the order of the voice command (and gesture). This characteristic made the atmosphere of game much more dramatic (like a thriller movie, similar to the famous "Saving private Ryan"), because the human player could be hear the commands of his own team and the screams of the enemy (when they were approaching). All this causing a feeling of being in a real war (as in game "Medal of Honor: Alied Assault"). I tried to recreate the same game experience of Dod classic, with bots in Dod:S, but in the currents systems of bots for Dod:S, there are no equal resources to the Sturmbot. I am not able to program bots, but many people would like to get the same experience of playing Dod:S like the old and good Sturmbot system.
With this suggestion i also put a link to the changelog of Sturmbot. My expectation is that someone considers this as a positive opinion, and based on this changelog, implement new scripts that produce the same desired effects:

It doesn't work
I installed the HLDS Update Tool and run it, load like 2 minutes, it shows "Getting the 51 version of Steam HLDS Update Tool" and then quit.
I don't know what supposed to happen but I don't see any file or anything.
I do the shortcut but on the notepad doesn't say anything of run the shortcut too so i tryied the next number of step one:
"3)Place Server.cfg (You May Edit it If you Want) it is Predefined, Place in your:
C:\srcds\orangebox\dod\cfg\

Where is soposed to be "Server.cfg"? I mean, that file is actually there on the files that i downloaded.
then i tryied run the Shortcut of HLDS Update Tool that i created with the commands and it happen again, load the "Getting th 51..." but much faster and quit.
Nothing happens, I tryied to use that "srcds" folder but nothing works.
