Provides a alternate pistol, to the one featured in the optional addons for Brutal Doom. v1.21e cleaned up weapons frames when kicking. v1.21d now has ability to throw grenades and unload the weapon (PB version also updated to use its features). v2.1 Added compatible version with ProjectBrutality (initial PB). Old version is still included in case you use a older Brutal Doom.
This is just a pistol mod I just wanted to make for Brutal Doom.
Its my first mod for ZDoom so I know it sucks.

I couldn't find the original person who did the sprites for this, I do know it came from these forums though. The first image you get for Silenced Pistol in a Google Image search are the sprites I used.
And I edited them slightly.

Summary:
Fires fairly quickly though its semi-auto.
Takes out Zombie Men, Sargents, and Imps fairly quickly. Head shots on the first two are 1 hit kills, Imps take 2 Head shots.
Due to the small clip size, its not good against groups, or anything that can soak up damage or has no head hitbox, aka: Pinkys
Has a reload animation.
No more Alt Fire, if you want to melee, use the kick.
When you use a Meat Shield it will now also use the pistol instead of the rifle, though you need to aim above the crosshair to hit stuff, and you can't hit anything at close range due to the meat shield being in the way.

Known Bugs:
When you expend all your ammo while using a Shotgun Guy Meat Shield, after you throw him away, the sprite for holding him pops back up for a second.

Changed Weapon Sprites including the Meat shield sprites
New Weapon Sprites means it now has a reload animation
Edited the rounds ejecting from the gun to be closer to the actual ejecting port
Moved the pistol clip dropping to closer to the gun
Made the gun fire quicker (its slow firing was starting to annoy me)
Removed Alt Fire/Melee - Just use the kick if you want to melee

Note: You need to aim slightly above the crosshair while using a Meat Shield, also you can't hit anything right in front of you while using a Meat Shield.

Feel free to comment and the like, I just really wanted to use a pistol in Brutal Doom, and this was a result of it. Maybe someone else might enjoy this as well.
This will probably be the last update for this weapon, I do have some other weapons in mind I want to make.
And why exactly does this weapon not follow en suite of others in terms of point of view and iron sights?

It didn't work in Zandronum for me. Had to use GZDoom to get it work.
Does it have assault clipz? It needs to be banned then. Zomg the horror.

Okay I'm this mod's creator, only just noticed today that my add-on/mod got uploaded here. I'm not really that fussed that it was uploaded somewhere else, though someone could of told me about it...
Anyways to answer a few questions:
This only works in Zdoom and GZdoom, because that's what I made it for.
Yes it uses clips to reload, though its balanced in terms of power with its small clip size. You can only kill 1 pinky and do some damage to a second pinky before needing to reload.
It's in a different perspective compared to the original brutal weapons, because this is just add-on I made for fun, and I prefer this view.

Will you be developing any other weapon addons for BrutalDoom in the future ? I've yet to find a decent heavy pistol / magnum replacement to use for Brutal. Thanks again for providing a revamp for the pistol.
lol, someone's complaining that the pistol uses assault clips, when in the original doom the chaingun used the pistol clips :P

How the hell do I install this, I use gzdoom but, whenever I put it in the skins folder, it doesn't work!!!
DON'T LOAD MODS WITH THE SKINS FOLDER.
You are the millionth person who is saying that he loaded it on the Skins folder and it won't work. Whoever told you that, they're wrong. Load Brutal Doom first and then load this package (Drag Brutal19.pk3 file and hold the CTRL button to enable to you the feature to drag multiple files. Drag the other package and throw it in the .EXE). If it's still unable, reverse the loading process.
Won't load when I drag BDv.19 and the Assualt Pistol pack together on to gzdoom. Faulty upload is all I can say.
How do you get this to work with zandronum? no matter what I do, it doesnt work.
