Being a zombie doesn't make sense, it is classed as a faction by the game, but being one means more than just being part of another faction, you'd have to change all the player's sounds, and walk/move anims.
If I were to change controllers to take over the player I'd just have them trigger a suicide cutscene where they make the player blow his brains out.
I don't think you understand, what I specifically want is NOT to go the OGSE route regarding zombification.
Being a zombie isn't just another change of faction, zombies are barely conscious walking husks that shuffle around, eat, and shoot at things that spook them, they aren't capable of anything else.
What I find strange about the arms is that when you change weapons they arms also change, don't know if this is just because of modded Stalker or Vanilla as well, and also the arms do not even match the outfit the player is wearing very odd indeed. I am talking about Stalker, not this mod.
In SoC, arms don't have a separate model. There is a copy of the arms in each and every weapon's model, so if you edit one the rest stay the same. Some of the arms don't even use the same texture so you'll notice for instance that the texture on your arms is completely different if you have an Obrez equipped.
It was only in CoP that arms were given a separate file and made to change based on armor.
Correct, if you open up a weapon HUD model in CS/CoP, you will see that it has no attached arms. This is because the arms in CS/CoP are treated separately from the weapon model, as in the case of SoC, since the games run on different engines.
Someone made a mod for SoC that switched the arm textures every time a suit was changed, but this more or less created about 8 types of weapons for each type of suit, which is an extremely impractical way of doing things.
I had crashes with grenades way back when I tried the original.
v2 seems to be stable, but it wouldn't work in ZoA since we have so many weapons that we would run out of room in the mp_ranks file to store them all. It's far too much work just for a feature that is purely aesthetic.
Does the author know how to change the type of arms you get from holding certain weapons? The effect is very annoying when I want one specific texture for all the weapons I hold when they're constantly changing textures looking terrible.
Hello kitty? Oo
There was no texture for the Zombie faction so I made one myself. I don't think there's any way in ZoA to become a member, but still.
Not unless we mess with controllers, but still.

Any chance you could point me in the direction of that Mod.

It works, but it's a very hacky solution.

Which faction suit is middle-top?
One of the Duty variants.
