Many games feature the AK-47 or a very similar weapon modeled on and/or named after it, and most gamers aren't sad enough to actually know the difference between weapons so similar in real life.
Remembering what things look like isn't sad.
Else knowing what a square is or a car means that I have no life.
AN maybe is better but the look of the gun is mmm not that cool AK all types look awesome i have no idea why don't ask me that ;p

Oy, check your stereotypes, the AN-94 has been my most preferred USSR firearm in all the games I've played that featured it.
