In the base game I always feel that location of Georgetown is very empty aside from dozens of Super Mutant spawns, there was clearly not much to do or explore until (with help of this mod) you visit Guts's couple. Quest feels appropriate and lore-friendly in roaster of base game side quests, around the size of Agatha's quest or Railey's Rangers.
Voice acting for characters is pretty decent and Guts feels like the right guy to accompany Lone Wanderer in his adventures for some time.

As for companion option, I think Guts works great in combination with other companions. When he does his stun towards any enemies, player character and other companion could just stand still and rip them to pieces. Very useful to dealing with overlords and deathclaws.

Should you try this mod in 2023? Yes, quest feels natural in game world and companion would be a great addition to your journeys in the wastes.
